“Stand your ground” law also removes any duty to retreat for a law-abiding person in a location in which they have a right to be. Such as being threatened on a public sidewalk with a knife.

I’ve had that feeling myself…
YMMV by jurisdiction. Here in Canada, for instance, you are expected to retreat, if possible, and can be charged if you kill an intruder. Always good to know your local law.
