Depressed over the loss of his job, he plans to commit suicide by running a gas generator in his apartment. He knows the fumes will probably asphyxiate his upstairs neighbor, whoever that is, but he just doesn&#8217;t care.<\/p>\n<p><em>Crib in mephitic fog<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As it happens, Romeo survives.
