Excuse pg 3: When is a crime not a crime?<\/p>\n

In other words, a mistake of law will not excuse you from criminal liability.<\/p>\n

There are\u00a0other<\/strong> kinds of situations, however, where you might be excused. Situations where you did something that ordinarily would have been punishable as a crime\u2026 but in this case you’re off the hook.<\/p>\n

In some cases, what you did was bad, but you’re\u00a0EXCUSED<\/strong> for one reason or another.<\/p>\n

The State comforting Average Joe, who’s on bended knee.<\/em><\/p>\n

In other cases, what you did wasn’t bad at all: You were\u00a0JUSTIFIED<\/strong> in doing it.<\/p>\n
