It&#8217;s simply a question of the law failing to keep up with evolving societal norms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>BIKER B<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I concur. Modern sensibilities are more likely to feel protective of others beyond one&#8217;s immediate family. Especially children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>BIKER C<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Perhaps, but the law hasn&#8217;t caught up to that, yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>BIKER FROM BEFORE<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">That&#8217;s no different from what I was saying. And as soon as the law\u00a0<strong>does<\/strong> catch up, you can expect that it&#8217;ll impose an outright\u00a0<strong>duty<\/strong> to protect others, which isn&#8217;t the case now.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>BIKER D<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">So it might actually become a\u00a0<strong>crime<\/strong> to\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong> help a stranger?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>BIKER E<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">It&#8217;d have to be!
