That's hard, and many people would rather just go to jail. And not all repeat offenders can be rehabilitated in the first place. Also, not every cause of crime can be &#8220;cured.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>Average Joe looking dejected.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>JOE<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Not by a long shot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">pfft<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>NARRATOR<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So rehabilitation can&#8217;t be the ONLY purpose of punishment.<\/p>\n<p>And it isn&#8217;t. There are several. (Some more &#8220;civilized&#8221; than others.)
