Welp. Time to re-read the whole thing again.

    …again.

I’m glad I checked back. This has been one of the most interesting presentations of the history of civilization I’ve seen. I was beginning to lose hope of it continuing.

I do note that the comic pages and comments don’t record the date. What year, indeed.

    • That’s a deliberate choice I made on day one (October 16, 2012) when I first set up this site. It’s because the discussions are always open, and I don’t want to discourage people from joining in the conversation as the years go by.

It was a good call: In practically every topic, some really insightful thoughts have only appeared years later, and we might have never seen them! There have even been a couple of errors I’ve made that nobody spotted until much later, and thank to the open comments I was able to go back and replace the wrong stuff with correct stuff. Inviting new thoughts has really helped the comic be a kind of living document, instead of an archive of old ideas. (Another thing that helps is having dedicated space between the posts so I can insert new pages if the law changes, or if I need to clarify something further. I’ve only had to do that a few times so far, but it’s nice that I can.)
